P. David Raj is a Consultant with the Centre for Child and Youth Justice. He’s a development professional with over 25 years of experience in various international donor/funding agencies namely ActionAid, Catholic Relief Services and UNICEF. At UNICEF he was a Senior Program Manager (Child Protection) in CPRC, having also served as a Child Protection Consultant providing technical support and collaborating primarily with 3 important stakeholders related to child protection which are WCD Dept., Police and the Judiciary. He is a guest faculty on Child Protection issues at the Judicial Academy, TS Police Academy and NLU Visakhapatnam. A postgraduate in Psychology, he has done his PG Diploma in Child Rights Law from NLSIU Bengaluru. He has also authored 3 books viz. (1) FAQs for CCIs as per the JJ Act & Rules, (2) Handbook for CCIs about Children Committees, (3) Suggestive Child Protection Policy Framework for Child Care Institutions (CCIs) and Compilation of (i) Handbook for CCIs (ii) Handbook for Child Welfare Committees.
