About Us

Our Vision

The Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ) envisions a society where every child and young person enjoys their rights fully, supported by a fair and accessible justice system. We aim to be a beacon of hope and a leader in shaping policies and practices that advance justice for youth.

Our Mission

The mission of the Centre is to serve the children through law. We focus on ensuring access to justice for children and youth, particularly those who are marginalized or underserved. Through rigorous research, policy advocacy, and capacity-building initiatives, we strive to protect and promote the rights of young people.

Our History:

Established as a specialized centre within NALSAR, the CCYJ builds on the university's long-standing tradition of using legal education as a tool for social change. Since its inception, the Centre has anchored key discussions on child and youth justice, contributing significantly to the broader discourse on legal reform in India.
