Hon’ble Smt. Justice Moushumi Bhattacharya, Judge, High Court of Telangana, and Chairperson, Juvenile Justice Committee, Telangana High Court released the bi-annual newsletter and calendar of the Centre for Child and Youth Justice (CCYJ) at the NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, on 22nd January 2025 in the High Court of Telangana.
On this occasion Prof. Sri Krishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor, NALSAR University of Law apprised Justice Bhattacharya about University’s legal aid activities and ongoing research work. He also told her about the Centre for Child and Youth Justice at NALSAR and highlighted that the Centre is running a project on “Access to Justice for Children through systems strengthening on child protection issues” funded by CRY (Child Rights and You). Dr. D. Bala Krishna, Coordinator of the Centre for Child and Youth Justice, explained the ongoing activities of the Centre.
Hon’ble Justice Bhattacharya, while appreciating the NALSAR Child Rights Centre’s work, emphasized the need for research work on climate change and its effects on children. She reiterated the need for collective commitment of all stakeholders working for the welfare and well-being of children.
Aishwarya Sinha and Raja Chandra, Research Assistants from CCYJ, Adv. Rizwan and Adv. Rajashekar Reddy, Telangana High Court and panel advocates for CCYJ also participated in the event.
